Jessica Biel painted using a Wacom Tablet
Educational Area: Arts / Design / Animation | Rating: 7 of 10 | Views: 14,234
Short video showing how I painted Jessica Biel using my wacom tablet, Photoshop CS3 and Painter X. Most of the painting was done using photoshop, the face and hair was done in painter. I start by blocking out the largest shapes and then I move on to the details. The skin was made using a speckled custom brush in photoshop and a standard soft brush in painter. The video was done using camstudio and After Effects. Feel free to ask if theres anything regarding the process you'd like to know more of

Hey Gustavo, no its more about the basics. How I build a figure from the bottom, how I add color and work my way from dark to light. Someone who already knows a little about drawing and photoshop should be able to learn a thing or two just by watching :)

How do you switch from PS to PX? Do you save the PS file as a PSD or JPG or what?

Reply to #11: Hey, sorry about the late reply! I save the file from painter to a psd (photoshop) file. Then through photoshop it can be set automatically update whenever I save it in painter.

Hi Martin, this is very good. I have a question about your brush setup in photoshop, how do you get the darks and the lights and blend them so well. Do you use, dodge or burn tool? Do you playing with opacity? or do you hand pick each shade and use 100% opacity? or any combination of all? I find that when I paint my colors don't blend very well, unless im doing it in a greyscale.
