Good video, it is true that messing with your registry is dangerous. If you screw things up you can restore defaults or use the windows CD to fix the problem but you should be careful. If you do it right it will speed up windows a lot.

Hi, I'm the creator of the video, Thank you all for commenting on it. Yes, Registry is a very dangerous subject, you need to be careful and make sure you know how to back up and restore before you toy around with it.

I'll be glad to answer all of your questions. Thanks.

Go back into your MSCONFIG and retick anything related to your anti virus program before you get a virus.
On the SERVICES tab in MSCONFIG, put a tick in HIDE MICROSOFT SERVICES (so it won't let you turn them off as your PC needs most of them) and then untick what's left, except your anti virus program.

Then check out http://www.tweakxp.com/performance_tweaks.aspx to see how to really speed it up.
Create a file somewhere with a list of what you've done (copy and paste) so when you install something later and it doesn't work, you can check if you've disabled something it relies on

lol... This kind of thing can't be learned from Microsoft tutorials or from customiser shop... (They would have less to do, so less to be paid for)

Just had to say something about the last part...
    Today, Norton AntiVirus is... useless...
Why? Simply since a couple of years, it IS the thing that activate a kind of virus. Programmers have created scipts that only activate if a 3rd program do something with them (like an full review of a system like Norton does). If nothing is done, then the virus is like a block of ice and does nothing more than existing. (You can even delete it and it won't \"activated\"... but warm program like norton smelt it and let it live... That's a way to explain it)

While i had Norton, I have recieved over 100 virus in 2 months (not \"commercial things\" but VIRUS) and norton couldn't do anything with them except making them active. Once I restarted my computer, I didn't install Norton and well.. I haven't gotten any problem since 2 years. If there are virus on my computer, they're hidden and don't affect me or anybody I contact. It's like if they're frozen and useless where they are.
