Expiring Domains, Search Engine Submissions, & Mail
Educational Area: Online Marketing | Rating: 0.00 of 10 | Views: 79
I received a letter a couple of weeks ago concerning the renewal of a domain that was about to expire (that I currently own). The pitch: They will renew it for me, give me some search engine submissions and reports and charge me $35/year for this service.
Huh? You got to be kidding! If I want to renew it, I will just pay the $10 that GoDaddy original sells it for. As for the search engine submissions, I feel this is a rather fruitless cause. No major search engine provides priority to these submissions and the tools they offer can be found for free at places like Google Webmaster Tools.
If I am really wanting to keep this domain from expiring, I will respond to one of the daily reminders I receive from GoDaddy (and pay my reasonable $10).
