I think you make a really good point. The problem is that for this drawing I didnt plan anything out - i just went along whatever my hand was doing and hoped for the best ^_^; My next tutorial I definitely am planning it out much better...hopefully XD
Wow! thanks for all the wonderful comments everyone! It really makes me happy to see all the replies. I'm currently planning on another tutorial soon so I hope you guys will enjoy it~
hey man, not much but a lil bit of critique here, u got skills but your tutorial was more a show of your preference settings and how to swiftly achieve better skin tone rather than the title how to illustrate a character. im crap at illustration but i can technical draw for mapping maybe add a few points on how you observed your drawing and how you came to draw the lines in the presumably mind generated image your pretty ace at your work and good luck with it :) Tech1337
ur freaking awesome ill be watching you closely and learning as u learn. i draw b/w usually so learning coloring is really getting me. GREAT tutorial, it helped alot. QuvrSoul on deviantART.
that was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I registered after watching the tutorial to say nice work!
Its really fun watching speed painting but the informative parts of your video are what makes it stand out. It took way too long for me to figure out what my brush settings should be months ago.
This is a small tutorial on how i create an illustration from scratch in photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet. Here I explain the brush settings I use and a cheap and fast skin-tone technique I use a lot for 3D textures.
Thanks for the tips, really :)
