\"get a pair of wire strippers...get the ones for Stranded wire even though Cat5E cable is solid\". Wrong on two points. First, C5e is available in stranded and solid cable. Second, there is no such thing as a stranded jacket cutter vs. a solid jacket cutter. Oh yeah, it's not called a \"wire stripper\" either.
what a freakin joke, get a pair of wire strippers! Do it like a professional, they cost $10USD at Home Depot, get the ones for Stranded wire even though Cat5E cable is solid. Using that stupid little razor will nick the wires inside the jacket although you may not see it. 8 times out of 10! Just so everyone knows that i'm not just blasting the video, I'm a Network Tech / Computer Service Tech / and Low Voltage Contractor! I think I know a little bit about wires! ;-)
Man, that cable is unbraided. Too bad I never get to use that, should have used the braided pair cable to show everyone what a pain in the ass it was. Good vid though.
TigerTV Host Logan Loves Cables...perhaps a little too much. But this vice for him is an opportunity for you—to learn the ins and outs of do-it-yourself cable installation. Go ahead and watch this informative Tiger How-To video...it might help you the next time you're in charge of a home or office network! Watch, Learn, and Enjoy!(more)(less)

Reply to #4: It depends on whether you are wiring for TIA-568A or 568B.. The wiring scheme this video is using is TIA-568B.

The video states some wrong information. The wires thatr are used on 100mb net work are 1,2,3, and 6. So the \"main pair\" should be orange and green.
