looks quite good this. like the off ball running feature, stupid AI in strikers annoys me. i notice they don't say anything about aftertouch/curling the ball and i'm quite worried that the amount of arm movements necessary to execute a series of intricate passes, it looks like it might seriously slow down the gameplay, but as usual konami make EA look like a bunch of amateurs, which is fitting as fifa IS for amateurs and this, providing game speed isn't sacrificed too much, has the scope to be the best footy simulation ever!

this looks wank mate. it doesn't look like fun at all. it looks like a strategy game, and everyone knows they suck balls...

Aarrghh!! Its a simple point and click game. I'd kill for that kind of control in a soccer game, and I'm a casual fifa 08 player. I will Definately buy this game based on that control scheme.

I have played Fifa 08 and though the controls are simple, they get jumbled up when you mix moves with one-another. For eg: a through-pass coupled with kick will almost always result in lob-pass (the B-shoot combo). Hope PES changes it.....

I don't think 11 people playing 11 other people online would be a very good idea haha! Everyone would be crowding the ball and shit cause nobody would know where to be on the field...

Looks like very complicated and confusing. Maybe things will change once we all get the hands-on experience.

  • #10  visitor9 ~ Oct 31, 2007

You guys need to trade your WII in for a girlfriend.

ok so there's a revolutionary system out there and what do we do when we get a revolutionary sports game? We cry about it??!!? C'mon people, I've played PES (or Winning Eleven) since its Japan league versions in 2000 and I can't wait to struggle with these \"unintuitive\" commands.
Is the Wii perfect? No. And so is PES, but it sure is a hell of a start!!!
Or, you know, you can go back to playing fifa.......

How is this crap? This is going to be EPIC!
If you don't like hard games go play Viva Pinata D-Bags.

I disagree, it's changed the perspective of the game from the football itself to the movement of the players.

It won't play like the previous pro evo games, it's moved on to what football is like in real life. Imagine an online version, 11 vs 11, all human controlled, everyone playing by moving their own player. No-one would go out and play anymore (so perhaps not a good thing!)

    PES is clearly over complicated.

The game could have been good if the contols weren't motion based...they just did it for the sake of it...

    Yuck!

  • #3  visitor2 ~ Oct 31, 2007

Looks so unintuitive... going to be so hard to play
