Background:  The iFriends platform has utilized the unique medium of the Internet to change and broaden the paradigm that people have previously considered "adult." Adult used to mean, and perhaps still does for many other companies, objectified, stereotypical images of women, existing only for men’s gratification, devoid of emotion, voice or a sense of self-respect. Now, through iFriends, relationships and interactions have been created, which by definition break down those harmful, objectifying stereotypes. The notion of sexual pleasure has been expanded and corrected, and adult entertainment has been redefined to mean authentic interactions with real people – not people who look and act "perfect," but real people who have faults and beauties and insecurities and dreams; they are the people that you meet and fall in love with every day. In addition to breaking down harmful anduntrue stereotypes through the more "entertaining" aspects of our site, we have also focused substantial resources to work with the largest group of sexuality professionals in the world, who directly help our stakeholders understand their own sexuality, identity and self worth. iFriends has commissioned these professionals to review all of the "entertainment" content as well as to provide educational content throughout all areas of the iFriends website. We have also developed the Love&Health Information channel which provides direct on-line education (Q&As, articles, video education, future web cam therapy sessions, etc.). In addition, we are pioneering the off line "Internet&Sexuality Symposium" in partnership with the HSAB and other leading educational organizations, which brings together the world’s greatest minds on the subject of human sexuality so that we can continue our educational efforts. We are devoted to advancing the important science of human sexuality, both at a global level and in your own life. Our unique approach to education, through entertainment, marks us as a leaderin the field of human sexuality as well as revolutionary in our approach to sexual health and education. We reach out to the population where they are, without judgment, and we meet them there by providing the entertainment aspects they are looking for, in a ground-breaking manner, and simultaneously transforming this "entertainment" into direct education, which serves to enlighten our stakeholders, as well as informing and educating them. All of these efforts are integral to the iFriends global agenda of providing adults with the information and resources they need so they can fully understand and accept themselves, their sexuality, and their relationships.
