  • What are the system requirements to use the Web Classroom?

    For Teaching
    • Webcam (for video)
    • Microphone & speakers, headset recommended (for audio)
    • Operating System: Windows XP or later, Mac OS X, or Linux.
    • Web Browser: IE 7 or later, Mozilla 3.0 or later, Safari 3.0 or later, Opera 9.0 or later.
    • Flash Player 10.0 or later.
    For Learning
    • Operating System: Windows XP, or later, Mac OS X, or Linux.
    • Web Browser: IE 7.0 or later, Mozilla 2.0 or later, Safari 3.0 or later, Opera 9.0 or later.
    • Flash Player 10.0 or later.
    • Webcam, only mandatory if student wants to participate with live video.
    • Speakers; microphone, only mandatory if student wants to participate with live audio. Headset recommended.
  • Where can I buy a great web cam?

    The video and audio quality of the Sclipo Live Web Classroom depends in large part on the webcam and headset you use. We recommend these high-quality webcam with integrated microphones and headsets.

  • What if I don't want to use video in my class?

    The Live Web Classroom requires video and audio to teach a class. For audio only classes, try out Sclipo's Live Web Meeting Room, featuring a powerful whiteboard, chat and audio.

  • How do I show documents in my live web class?

    You can show any documents from your Academy Library in the Live Web Classroom:

  • "I can't see my webcam video."

    • Is your webcam plugged in?
    • Have you installed all necessary drivers?
    • Did you authorize Adobe Flash Player?
    • Is the correct camera selected? (To find out which camera you select, please consult your webcam's manual.)
  • "The microphone level isn't moving"

    • Is your microphone plugged in?
    • Have you installed all necessary drivers?
    • Did you authorize Adobe Flash Player?
    • If you are using Windows, did you select the correct audio source? Is the volume set correctly?
