What is the Web-Video Challenge about?
The Challenge involves creating and sharing a skills-based video that demonstrates how to make a great movie specifically for the web. Your video tutorial can teach the world any topic related to web-video-making such as how to prepare a script or how-to set-up a camera, how to film a scene, how to edit, what software to use, how to compress and upload the video to the web. -
Who can participate?
The Web-Video Challenge (theChallenge
) hosted on Sclipo.com (Sclipo
) is open to any user of Sclipo who complies to the Sclipo Terms of Use. All applicable laws and regulations of Spain apply. -
When does the Challenge start and end?
The Challenge begins at 12:00 p.m. Central European Time (CET
) on June 26, 2007 and ends at 23:59 CET on July 31, 2007 (theChallenge Period
). -
What is required to participate?
Any Sclipo user (Participant
) can submit a skills-video (video
) to sclipo.com showing a Web-Video Video-Tutorial (theSubmission
) and assign it to the Web-Video Challenge. Participants can either a) upload a video to Sclipo and assign it or b) assign a video that is already hosted on Sclipo.a) To upload and assign one or more videos: Log-in to your Sclipo account or create a free account at http://www.sclipo.com. Go to your Dashboard / MyVideos / Upload to upload one or many videos and assign them to the Web-Video Challenge
b) To assign your video(s): Log-in to your Sclipo account and go to your Dashboard / My Videos page. Go to your Dashboard / MyVideos / Edit My Videos to assign one or more of your videos to the Web-Video Challenge.
Video Submission Requirements:
- Participants must have a valid Sclipo account with correct and complete personal registration data.
- The video Submission must show a video tutorial that demonstrates how-to make a video for the web, by showing tips, tricks, techniques or tutorials about any related topic, such as scripting, how-to set-up a camera, how to film a scene, what software to use, how to compress and upload the video to the web.
- The title and tags of your video must mention

- Participant must own all copyright rights to the video Submission.
- Submission must not exceed 100 MB in size.
- Submission must not exceed 5 minutes in length.
- Submission must comply with the Sclipo Terms of Service at http://www.sclipo.com/info/terms.htm.
During the Challenge registration process, each Participant will be required to click where indicated to confirm that such Participant agrees to these Challenge terms. Any Submission that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, obscene or otherwise does not comply with the Sclipo Terms of Use at http://www.sclipo.com/info/terms.htm, as determined by Sclipo in its sole discretion, will not be eligible. Sclipo is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected entries which are void. In addition, by entering, participants represent and warrant that the videos that they submit: are their own original creations, do not infringe any other person's or entity's rights and has obtained permission from the people featured in the Submission to enter this Challenge.

Who wins what?
The most popular videos, selected by the web-community, can win one of the following prizes (a minimum number of views and votes is required to win a prize).Grand Prize: A state-of-the-art Camcorder, valued at minimum €1000.
Minimum requirement to win this prize: 20000 views and 200 votes.Runners-up Prizes: 10 Webcams, valued at minimum €20 each.
Minimum requirement to win this prize: 5000 views and 50 votes.All winning videos will be featured on the Sclipo home.

What are other general Challenge rules?
By participating in the Challenge, Participants agree to be bound by these official Terms. Sclipo assumes no responsibility for electronic hardware, programming or software malfunctions, or failures, or line connections, accessibility or availability, or technical failures of any kind, or unauthorized human intervention, or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of any Submission or other information, or for the failure to capture any such information. Sclipo is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Participants, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Challenge; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the Submission process or the Challenge; or (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Challenge or the processing of entries. Further, if, for any reason, the Challenge is not capable of running as planned by reason of infection by virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sclipo, may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Challenge, Sclipo reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Challenge, and select the winner for the Challenge, from the entries received prior to the action taken or in other such manner as deemed fair and appropriate by Sclipo.Except where prohibited, Participant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Challenge shall be resolved under the laws of Spain.

What happens with my personal information?
Sclipo will hold your personal information fully confidential. By submitting a video, you agree to Sclipo’s Privacy Policy at http://www.sclipo.com/info/privacy.htm and Terms of Use at http://www.sclipo.com/info/terms.htm.Sclipo may use the winning videos for promotional purposes related to the contest. You will retain all ownership of the copyrights of your Submission.

Where will the winner be announced?
Winners and a complete challenge ranking will be displayed on Sclipo at the end of the Challenge period. In addition, winners will be notified vía email. The winning Submissions will also be featured at Sclipo. -
