What is the Wacom Challenge about?
The Challenge involves creating and sharing a skills-based video that demonstrates your ability to achieve impressive results with a Wacom tablet. Your video tutorial can teach the world how to use a Wacom tablet for any number of things, like digital photo editing, digital arts, manga, office work or gaming. You could share with them your most favorite tips and tricks or how you use tablets in combination with other tools. Maybe you have found a cool interesting application for which pen tablets work great as well. Share it and have a chance to win fantastic prizes. The first prize is a Cintiq 21UX interactive pen display, with five runners-up winning the new Bamboo pen tablet! -
Who can participate?
The Wacom Challenge (theChallenge
) hosted on Sclipo.com (Sclipo
) is open to any user of Sclipo who complies to the Sclipo Terms of Use. All applicable laws and regulations of Spain apply. Wacom and Sclipo employees can participate, but they are not eligible to win the Challenge awards. -
When does the Challenge start and end?
The Challenge begins at 12:00 p.m. Central European Time (CET
) on June 25, 2007 and ends at 23:59 CET on August 25, 2007 (theChallenge Period
).
IMPORTANT: The voting period of videos was extended to September 15, 2007, 23:59 CET. The submission period does not change, meaning: anybody can upload and assign a video to the challenge till August 25, 2007 23:59 CET (submission period). -
What is required to participate?
Any Sclipo user (Participant
) can submit a skills-video (video
) to sclipo.com showing a Wacom Video-Tutorial (theSubmission
) and assign it to the Wacom Challenge. Participants can either a) upload a video to Sclipo and assign it or b) assign a video that is already hosted on Sclipo.a) To upload and assign one or more videos: Log-in to your Sclipo account or create a free account at http://www.sclipo.com. Go to your Dashboard / MyVideos / Upload to upload one or many videos and assign them to the Wacom Challenge.
b) To assign your video(s): Log-in to your Sclipo account and go to your Dashboard / My Videos page. Go to your Dashboard / MyVideos / Edit My Videos to assign one or more of your videos to the Wacom Challenge.
Video Submission Requirements:
- Participants must have a valid Sclipo account with correct and complete personal registration data.
- The video Submission must show a video tutorial that demonstrates how-to use a Wacom pen tablet to achieve impressive and creative results.
- The title and tags of your video must mention
Wacom
- The description of your video must include the specific tools that you are demonstrating such as the software application and pen tablet product name.
- Participant must own all copyright rights to the video Submission.
- Submission must not exceed 100 MB in size.
- Submission must not exceed 5 minutes in length.
- Submission must comply with the Sclipo Terms of Service at http://www.sclipo.com/info/terms.htm.
During the Challenge registration process, each Participant will be required to click where indicated to confirm that such Participant agrees to these Challenge terms. Any Submission that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, obscene or otherwise does not comply with the Sclipo Terms of Use at http://www.sclipo.com/info/terms, as determined by Sclipo in its sole discretion, will not be eligible. Sclipo is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected entries which are void. In addition, by entering, participants represent and warrant that the videos that they submit: are their own original creations, do not infringe any other person's or entity's rights and has obtained permission from the people featured in the Submission to enter this Challenge.

Who wins what?
The Wacom Challenge offers two prize categories.Grand Prize: 1 Cintiq 21UX interactive pen display
Judged by the Web community, the most popular video clip will win a Cintiq 21UX interactive pen display, which has an approximate retail value of €2500. The most popular video is calculated based upon a proprietary formula based upon number of viewers, user ratings and comments. The formula is not published to reduce the risk of fraud.To win the Grand Prize, video submission must have at least 2000 views and 50 user votings.
In addition, the winner will be featured on Wacom’s Website www.wacom.eu.
Runners-up prices: 5 Bamboo Pen Tablet
In addition, Wacom will select five videos that will be awarded with the new Bamboo pen tablet, which has an approximate retail value of €100. This selection will be done by picking the most-instructive video out of the following application categories: digital photo, digital arts, manga, office and gaming.In addition, the winner will be featured on Wacom’s Website www.wacom.eu.

What are other general Challenge rules?
By participating in the Challenge, Participants agree to be bound by these official Terms. Sclipo assumes no responsibility for electronic hardware, programming or software malfunctions, or failures, or line connections, accessibility or availability, or technical failures of any kind, or unauthorized human intervention, or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of any Submission or other information, or for the failure to capture any such information. Sclipo is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Participants, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Challenge; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the Submission process or the Challenge; or (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Challenge or the processing of entries. Further, if, for any reason, the Challenge is not capable of running as planned by reason of infection by virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sclipo, may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Challenge, Sclipo reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Challenge, and select the winner for the Challenge, from the entries received prior to the action taken or in other such manner as deemed fair and appropriate by Sclipo.Except where prohibited, Participant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Challenge shall be resolved under the laws of Spain.

What happens with my personal information?
By submitting a video, you agree to Sclipo’s Privacy Policy at http://www.sclipo.com/info/privacy.htm and Terms of Use at http://www.sclipo.com/info/terms.htm, and you agree and acknowledge that personal information you submit in connection with your Submission will be shared with Wacom, GmbH. Wacom will hold your personal information fully confidential and use it only in relation to this challenge (for example, to send you your award).Should you not agree that Sclipo share’s your personal information with Wacom, please send us an email stating your request to privacy@sclipo.com.
IMPORTANT: In case you win, and you requested Sclipo not to share your personal data with Wacom, Sclipo will send you your award directly. This however may delay the award delivery date.
Wacom will use the winning videos for promotional purposes related to the contest. You will retain all ownership of the copyrights of your Submission.

Where will the winner be announced?
Winners and a complete challenge ranking will be displayed on Sclipo at the end of the Challenge period. In addition, winners will be notified vía email. The winning Submissions will also be featured at Wacom website www.wacom.eu. -
