About the Wacom Challenge
What is the Wacom Challenge?
The Wacom Challenge is about creating and sharing a skills-video that demonstrates your skills to achieve impressive results with a Wacom tablet. It provides an opportunity to showcase your innovative and original tips and tricks to a large audience, particularly when using a Wacom pen tablet in different applications and with other tools. Your skills-video can be about any application like for example digital photo, digital arts, manga, office or gaming. -
Why participate?
You can show everyone what great things you can do with a Wacom tablet. You can teach your friends how versatile and useful Wacom tablets are, you can show your sister or brother why they need one at home, and you can teach the world those special tricks that only you know. You could also win fantastic prizes. The first prize is a Cintiq 21UX interactive pen display, with five runners-up winning the new Bamboo pen tablet! -
What’s the award?
There are 2 attractive award categories:1. Grand Prize: 1 Cintiq 21UX interactive pen display
Judged by the Web community, the most popular video clip will win a Cintiq 21UX interactive pen display, which has an approximate retail value of €2500.In addition, the winner will be featured on Wacom’s Website www.wacom.eu.
To win the Grand Prize, video submission must have at least 2000 views and 50 user votings.
2. Runners-up prices: 5 Bamboo Pen Tablet
In addition, Wacom will select five videos that will be awarded with the new Bamboo pen tablet, which has an approximate retail value of €100. This selection will be done by picking the most-instructive video out of the following application categories: digital photo, digital arts, manga, office and gaming. -
Who can participate?
Any user of Sclipo. You can participate by uploading or registering a Wacom video tutorial. -
What videos can participate in the Challenge?
Your video must show a video tutorial that demonstrates how-to use a Wacom pen tablet to achieve impressive and creative results. You could shoot a video using a camcorder or webcam, showing your work space and the Wacom tablet or you could video capture your screen using screen recording software. You may also take single screenshots and assemble them into a video file. Your videos can show any application, like for example digital photo, digital arts, manga, office or gaming. -
What is required to submit a video to the challenge?
- A free Sclipo account.
- You must own all copyright rights to the video you submit.
- The video must not exceed 100 MB in size.
- The video must not exceed 5 minutes in length.
- No profanity, nudity, or crass behavior is allowed.
- It must comply to the Sclipo Term of Use and terms of the Wacom Challenge, http://www.sclipo.com/info/terms.htm.

How can I promote my video to foster my chances to win?
There are many easy ways to get the word going about your video:- Email the URL of your video all your friends and encourage them to view and evaluate the video.
- Post your videos on your blog. Just copy & paste embed html code from your video page.
- Ask your friends to submit your video to social networking sites, like for example digg.com, reddit, or del.icio.us.
- Talk about your video in forums and chat rooms.

How do I upload my video and register it to the Challenge?
In 3 easy steps:- Log in or Join to get your free account at Sclipo. This will grant you access to extra tools on our website, such as your personal dashboard where you’ll be able to store your own and favorite videos.
- Click on the uploadVideo link. You need to be logged in with your username to upload, therefore (1).
- On the uploadVideo page mark the checkbox for the Wacom Challenge, and upload your video.
Done!

Can I register a video posted on another site?
Yes. No need to make new videos if you already have cool videos posted somewhere on the Internet. Just upload and register them (see above). Do not forget to includeWacom
within the title and tags and mention the tools that you are demonstrating within the description. -
How many videos can I submit?
As many as you like. -
Can the video(s) I submit already be posted at another web-site?
Yes. -
Can I vote for my own video?
No! Vote fraud leads to elimination of your video from the contest. -
Can I vote for a video of a friend?
Yes, but only once! Vote fraud leads to elimination of the video from the contest.

How about privacy?
Your personal information will not be shared and will be held fully confidential. The personal information collected in the Challenge is subject to the Sclipo privacy policy and Challenge Terms at http://www.sclipo.com/info/privacy.htm. -
When does the Challenge start and end?
Start: June 25, 2007
End: August 25, 2007
IMPORTANT: The voting period of videos was extended to September 15, 2007, 23:59 CET. The submission period does not change, meaning: anybody can upload and assign a video to the challenge till August 25, 2007 23:59 CET (submission period). -
